GETTING you running, jumping and walking pain free is all in a day’s work for the team at FNQ Podiatry and Orthotics.
Founded by director and principal podiatrist Kyle Richardson in May 2015, the business offers a full suite of treatment options for lower limb and foot conditions including heel pain, shin splints, ankle sprains, bunions, achilles pain, ingrown toenails and much more.
“Our point of difference is our comprehensive biomechanical assessments which utilise the latest Podiatric technology from Europe” explains Kyle.
“Rather than just simply providing a band-aid treatment for the presenting injury, our assessment is based around determining the contributing factors that caused it in the first place. We then develop a targeted treatment program that looks at addressing all of these factors to help not only treat the injury but also minimise the risk of it or any others returning again”.

The team at FNQ Podiatry & Orthotics are also busy out of the clinic, being the official podiatrists for the Cairns Taipans and the Northern Pride.
“The sports and biomechanical field of podiatry continues to grow as people are starting to realise the importance of their feet and the impact they have on the rest of their body,” Kyle says.
“Around 25% of our patients who come in for biomechanical/running assessments are pain free and just wanting technique improvements. This is fantastic as it shows how people are now starting to be proactive about their health and trying to reduce their risk of injury via preventative care”.
With two full-time clinics in Redlynch and Edmonton and two part-time clinics in Mareeba and Innisfail, FNQ Podiatry and Orthotics services a wide range of patients and their specific conditions.
