SURGICAL precision and impressive results are all in a day’s work for the team at Cairns Plastic Surgery.
Whether it’s cosmetic enhancements or reconstructive surgery, practice owner Dr Isolde Hertess is as passionate about making her patients feel as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside.
“The work we do is life-changing. We see it every day,” she says.
“We are certainly able to fulfil most people’s needs and expectations after surgery.”
With more than 20 years experience in the industry, Dr Hertess has an abundance of knowledge in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
She obtained her specialist qualification as a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in the division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1994 and, more recently, obtained her Australian Dermatology Diploma in 2014.
Better yet, the advantage of having the practice located in the heart of Cairns means patients do not have to travel south to bigger cities or overseas to have professional work done.
“It’s a safer and more secure option to have such procedures done locally,” Isolde says.
“We are always here to support our patients after they have their surgery, which is certainly an advantage over having your surgeon located elsewhere.”
Conveniently located in the Cairns Medical Specialist Centre opposite Cairns Private Hospital, the practice offers several surgical procedures, including breast augmentation, breast reduction, all breast implant related surgeries, face and neck lift, labiaplasty, wrinkle injectable treatments and much, much more.
All non-surgical injectable treatments are performed by highly trained and skilled nursing staff who are under the doctor’s guidance.
“We’re also doing a lot of facial surgery and in particular skin cancers that require precision to achieve the best possible results with hidden scars.” Isolde adds.
“We have lots of positive feedback and many happy patients.”
Heading a team of three nurses and four administration staff, Isolde says the utmost care is taken to ensure the patient’s needs are put first.
“My staff are very approachable and provide a lot of education to our patients. Our nurses are very caring and I think that’s what sets us apart,” Isolde says.
“We try and give them a realistic expectation of what to expect during and after surgery.
“The results should always be subtle and look natural.”
