I am very proud to have founded AUDiOHEALTH and brought together a team of like-minded caring clinicians whose focus is firmly on our clients or people as I refer to those we help – meeting their needs and exceeding their expectations!
This ethos enables us to serve more people giving them the delight and joy of better hearing, restoring connections, empowering lives, reversing depression and isolation, improving cognitive abilities and increasing enjoyment of life.
Hearing loss impacts negatively on all aspects of a person’s life. We make a huge difference not only to the individual but to the family and community when we help to restore sounds so that they can hear clearly again and participate more fully in life.
We never underestimate the power each of us has to make life better for someone else and each day I take a few moments to reflect on what we have accomplished to make someone’s life better.
Our people receive the best care and service from caring qualified clinicians who are enthusiastic about improving hearing. They actively listen and look for solutions to solve each individual’s problems.
We are unique in the profession for a number of reasons. We are the only Practice in Australia with three generations of family involvement with each generation having served on a National Peak Professional Board. A little known fact is that less than 17% of the profession are currently Australian and privately owned with the majority of clinics being part of a large corporate chain owned overseas. Our people benefit from the widest possible selection of hearing solutions. If it is available in Australia we offer it. We can source product worldwide too. In fact, we’ve been the first clinic in Australia to launch new innovative hearing solutions.
This coupled with affordability, interest-free repayment plans, trade-ins, discounts and best prices is a sure winner. Eligible Pensioners and Veterans have access to fully subsidized products or can opt for a no gap top-up giving them better technology without being out of pocket.
Our outreach work with the Starkey Hearing Foundation contributes to helping children in need who otherwise would be unable to hear – clients can participate with us and make a difference by donating their old hearing aids. I am just back from a mission in Vanuatu with like-minded colleagues from throughout Australia who gave of their time and expertise to help hundreds of children to hear better.
Clients sense are genuine desire to make a difference and often comment on the atmosphere in our clinics in the most positive way. Despite the fact we are all extremely busy the overwhelming feeling from our clients is that they are appreciated, listened to and are in good hands.
We recently had the privilege of fitting an Australian icon and musician, Kamahl who choose to come to us at because of our outstanding service. We fitted him with the latest technology and he loves being able to fully appreciate the rich sounds of music again and to participate in conversation without having to ask people to repeat themselves. I enjoyed a luncheon with Kamahl in a very noisy restaurant and he didn’t miss a word. Rather it was I who had to strain to listen to the words of the poem Desiderata which he recited to me!
But people like our very elderly lady of 101 years of age are every bit as important. She is over the moon with her newfound hearing, freedom and enjoyment of life. We’ve opened up a whole new world to this lady. Age is no barrier. There’s never a better time to improve your hearing and your quality of life with so many products delivering outstanding results.
Call us for a free hearing check and discussion on the options available to suit you on 4041 7860 at our Cairns clinic or maybe a visiting site is more convenient at Mareeba, Yungaburra, Innisfail and Mission Beach. We’ve recently opened a new clinic at Atherton for people on the Tablelands.
