BBT_AUS ARMOUR_2Take a step back in time and be blown away by the Southern Hemispheres largest collection of armoured vehicles and artillery. The Australian Armour & Artillery Museum is conveniently located next to Skyrail and Tjapukai.

On display daily, discover genuine pieces of history including captured items from World War I & II, Northern Africa and the Pacific. See history up close view tanks, armoured personal carriers, armoured and anti-tank vehicles while learning about their applications during the world wars.
Vehicles, weaponry and artillery you usually only get to see in the movies, all in one convenient location, right here in the Far North!
To add some excitement to your day, join us for an army style Tank Ride adventure. Our custom fitted APC (Armoured Personal Carrier) seats 10 passengers and has a turret on top to replicate the look of a tank but with comfort design to suit all, rides available onsite daily at 11am and 2pm (subject to demand min 5 people) for only $15 adults and $10 for children.
The perfect experience for the whole family, once you are finished exploring the exhibits, visit our Kids Corner. The children can take a photo dressed as a real soldier, try on genuine army gear and play on the battle re-creation table allowing their imaginations to run wild.
During your visit, enjoy a coffee/tea or cool drink and a snack while you sit and relax in our café area or as you browse through our retail section.
You will find a surprisingly diverse collection of specialty items including some of the most unique novelty items, toys & puzzles, model kits & paints, reference books and souvenirs. We are also now supplying the Far North with a full range of AFV models, Tamiya paints and accessories.
BBT_AUS ARMOUR_1Still growing every day, we have many product features to come in 2015 including new Kuranda and Attraction packages and Personalised Guided Tours of the exhibits.
We have invested in an extension to house even more exhibits, which should be completed April 2015. In addition to this we will open a shooting gallery featuring tethered rifles, located downstairs which will be ready mid-late 2015.
